How you can be part of RRDTC
Make a donation

RRDTC welcomes donations.

  • Sponsor a trainee to attend a 5 day training at RRDTC (US$85) – this will enable someone from a Lao Not for Profit organisation to attend an RRDTC training course. The person will provide a photo report back to you and how the training has benefited him or her.
  • A higher rate of donation ($170) will sponsor someone to attend training from the provinces, including travel and accommodation costs.
  • Fund training in the provinces – email us to discuss this.
  • Send us books and resources (including articles via email rrdtcinfo@laopdr.com) on development topics for our resource library and information database. Training, Participative research, Participative Curriculum development, Games for Trainers, Facilitation, and technical books related to our training topics are welcomed. Second hand books are also gladly accepted. (Resources can be in Lao, English, Russian, Vietnamese, Thai or French)

If you are looking for a Lao Not for Profit Organisation as a partner or to deliver your program in Laos , talk to us. We also have links with other Lao Not for Profit organisations so we can pass your ideas along to other suitable Lao organisations if you want us to.

Offer services

Become an Associate: RRDTC contracts in trainers and experts when additional skills are needed or for peak times of training demand. If you live in Laos and have specialist skills, send your CV to us for consideration.

Volunteering is also a possibility, in person, if living in Laos , or volunteer your services over the internet - for example we need an illustrator to prepare training materials particularly for non-literate ethnic groups in Laos. This work can be done over the internet.

Become a Member

Members are service providers who use the resources of RRDTC to improve their work. RRDTC has an open policy to accept members. Membership can be applied for by individuals or organizations who meet the conditions below:

  • International organizations or Laotian organizations.
  • Expatriate individuals, especially development professionals, currently or recently working in Laos .
  • Laotian citizens having registration in Laos who are 18 or older.
  • Volunteers willing to follow all the rules and regulations of RRDTC.
  • All members must be of good professional and personal standing, without criminal record.

Individual membership fees are US $7.00 per year.

For Lao organizations, the annual membership fee is US $70.

For International organizations and expatriate members, the annual membership fee is US $140.

Applicants for membership must complete an application form, which is available upon request from the RRDTC. Applicants must submit two professional or personal references. Applications and references will be reviewed by the RRDTC staff to ensure compliance prior to confirmation.

Benefits of Membership:

  • All members may receive discount to one training course per year organized by or presented by RRDTC up to half of the full value of the membership fee paid. Members are also entitled to 10% discount on fees to attend any further public courses organized by RRDTC in the ear of membership
  • All members may use the RRDTC resource center as needed
